Why does Hostapd Daemon Stop authenticating after a short period of time

My hostapd daemon stops authenticating after a short period of time, the debug
logs show the clients continually trying to connect but the daemon will not let
them in, the only way i can usually resolve this is to restart the daemon
itself, is there any way i can prevent this?
