hello list
i'm running debian stable and recently compiled wpa_supplicant 0.7.1.
network controller is Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
kernel 2.6.30 using wext
being at one place and using a config like:
network={
ssid="JACOBS"
key_mgmt=NONE
}
successfully automatically associated me with that access point.
but being back at home i changed my wpa_supplicant.conf to connect to my
open network here and used:
network={
ssid="OpenWrt"
key_mgmt=NONE
}
the result of that was (when running with -ddd):
http://mister-muffin.de/p/Ypwe
which is the output created in a fraction of a second as i hit ctrl+c as
fast as i could after executing ./wpa_supplicant
the same happens should i use my local networks bssid instead of the ssid.
the only way to connect to my home network is to change the config to:
network={
key_mgmt=NONE
}
and hope that 'OpenWrt' is the first one it tries of all the wireless
networks around me.
could you help me interpret above output and tell me what is happening
there?
thanks in advance
cheers
josch
