I'm using Debian Lenny, kernel-2.6.30 and hostapd from git.
After ./hostapd hostapd.config I've got:
ioctl[SIOCSIFFLAGS]: No such file or directory
nl80211 driver initialization failed.
ELOOP: remaining socket: sock=3 eloop_data=0x9db1860 user_data=0x9db1d40
handler=0x8071d80
In /var/log/kern.org I found:
Jun 12 20:54:28 router kernel: [87279.192559] rt61pci 0000:00:12.0:
firmware: requesting rt2561s.bin

What's about fiemware for rt2x00?
Is it a reason of failing hostapd?
Sice traying a rt61 from ralink I have in /etc/Wireless/RT61STA:
rt2561.bin rt2561s.bin rt2661.bin rt61sta.dat
What should I do to start my hostapd?
