Can't get DHCP through

bcm43xx might be the problem. DHCP is done using multicast, so if you
some packet loss it can easily fail. Later, your connections go unicast
so retransmissions can be done. bcm43xx uses softmac which is unable to
do rate control.

What you could do is force 1 MBit rate with iwconfig; alternatively get
2.6.24-rc and use the b43 driver.
