WPA-PSK timeout

Hello friends,
 The driver we are developing now completes the 4-way handshake with
the Access Point (for the wpa-psk). However, after all the 4 frames
are exchanged and the AP starts sending the Group Key frame, I get the
message:
"Authentication with <<mac address of ap here>> timed out.".
Meanwhile, the AP sends a de-auth (as it timeouts). The group key
frame is sent 4 times followed by a disconnect.

Any clues on what to check in the driver (that uses driver_wext for
interfacing with wpa_supplicant)?
