WPA hardware dependent?

I would say so. What is your card? I just able to get my Prism 2.5 card
going an am connecting to a WPA AP and a WPA2 AP.
I did have to use prism2_srec to flash the station firmware to update it.
As I understand it, the station firmware upgrade really only mattered for
using the card as an Access Point and I was just using it to connect to an
AP.
