promiscuous mode and frame retransmission

Hi!

I've read in the prism2 drivers programmer manual, that in promiscuous
mode every data frame that belongs to the host is passed to the host,
with or without FCS errors.
But i couldn't find any information about the retransmission behaviour
in this mode. Are frames with fcs errors retransmitted?
This means, if a frame with FCS error is received, but seems to belong
to the host, does the firmware transmit the ACK or not?
Does anybody know an answer?
