hostap 'just worked' in Debian 'Stable' but not in 'Testing'!?

I happily installed hostap* packages in Debian Stable
including hostap-modules and it worked great.

(I have a Prism 2.x chipset wifi card.)

When I upgraded to Debian Testing it stopped working!?

I noticed there is no hostap-modules for new kernel.

I tried 'modprobe hostap' and that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?
