wpa_supplicant: problems with EAP-SIM

OK, I've removed the ssid setting from the config file, and I'm now
seen the state machine go into the ASSOCIATED state as you describe.
I'm still not seeing any APDUs being passed to or from the SIM card,
and the debug trace now says:
