Passive Scanning log

I am using hostap driver with a DWL 650 wireless card. I wanted to use
the ap_scan functionality to monitor signal strengths using passive
scannning.

The active scanning functions of iwpriv log the scan results in
/proc/net/hostap/wlan0/scan_results.  But I cannot find any log of
passive scan results. I get dmesg log to show that ap_scan option
causes the card to scan different channels. But how do I get the scan
results.
