If the rt2x00 team has updated their driver to use the latest
wireless-dev (which they should be doing!), which is really new, it
likely won't work on your kernel.  You should probably update to a
2.6.19 or later kernel.  Optionally, you go back to a version of the
driver that _does_ work on your kernel.  You appear to be trying to
compile the rt2x00 driver using sources that are way too old.
