Tx-Power=-43 dBm

Anybody here have an idea what's causing this problem with prism3 radios under hostAP 0.3.9 and 2.4.20 kernel:

iwconfig  wlan0 txpower auto

results in

Note the reported txpower -43   (and no measurable TX output from the board)

This using an SMC2532w-b / Xcomax XI-330HP radio.  Problem isn't there with earlier Prism 2.5 radios, you typically get an output of -10 to +10 under average conditions.
