Did you read that on the ipw2100 site?

http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/

They are mentioning, that the latest 1.1.0 is not working with the
latest wpa_supplicant and they offer a patch.
Also there is a little shell skript on that page that is supposed to
help you setup your box.
