power management using iwconfig

Hi,
I am using a US Robotics card with hostap
driver(0.2.4).I want to accept only
broadcast/multicast packets for some particular time.
I tried 
 iwconfig wlan0 power multicast
 "Error for wireless request "Set Power Management"
(8B2C) :  SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid
argument."
 I get the above error.Could anyone please help me in
getting over this problem?
