If this is the problem, theres another possibility:
at bottom of /etc/pcmcia/config, you should find following:
# Include configuration files for add-on drivers
source ./*.conf
which should find hostap_cs.conf (in same directory)
in there, you *should* find something that matches your card
[root at harpo boot]# cardctl ident
Socket 0:
product info: "D", "Link DWL-650 11Mbps WLAN Card", "Version 01.02", ""
manfid: 0x0156, 0x0002
function: 6 (network)
[root at harpo boot]# cardctl info
PRODID_1="D"
PRODID_2="Link DWL-650 11Mbps WLAN Card"
PRODID_3="Version 01.02"
PRODID_4=""
MANFID=0156,0002
FUNCID=6
since youre not getting hostap to see the card, one of these steps isnt
happening.
which one is it ?
