Betreff: Problems with ALLNET PCI Card
Hi there,
im currently trying to setup
a debian (sarge) box as wlan access point with
hostap driver - im using a allnet PCI card
(Prism 2.5 chipset) - all worked out fine
(out of the box - couldnt believe it ;-)
but *sending* data to/over the access point
is (really) slow/or fails at all ... "download"
means sending data to nodes booked in the
access point - no problem - at accurate speeds ...
I mentioned that after using the WLAN for several
days when i tried to send emails with attachments
testing with orinoco driver in ad-hoc mode
im facing the same - (even worse)
i tried fiddling MTU, iwconfig rts, iwconfig frag
but this might be a general problem with my allnet pci
card ... hardware broken ? cant believe it - FAQ
mentions that untested hardware might bring
unexpected results -
any suggestions?
(debugging possibilities?)
thanks in advance
Daniel
