Hi All,
Environment:
wpa_supplicant-0.2.5, patched for
ipw2100-0.56
Mandrake 10.1 "Community"
Dell Inspiron 600m
NetGear WG602 (v1) AP
wpa_supplicant is working fine on a WPA'd network (NetGear FWAG114),
but on my network at home, a NetGear WG602 running shared-key WEP, it
ain't happenin'.
Here's what I get...

Ad infinitum...
-------------------------- end included text ---------------------------
Shared key WEP works fine using the driver, with the config in
ifcfg-eth<whatever>.
Note the "wep_auth_type=0x2." I am using shared-key WEP, it appears
wpa_supplicant-0.2.5 doesn't support that, I found a patch against
0.2.4 that adds that support, so I tried that (hand-patching), as
well. No joy.
Here's the network block for the WLAN in question:
------------------------- begin included text --------------------------
network={
ssid="ccccccccccc"
key_mgmt=NONE
wep_key1="ccccccccccccc"
wep_tx_keyidx=1
priority=5
}
-------------------------- end included text ---------------------------
I tried both wep_key0/wep_tk_keyidx=0 and, as above, wep_key1. (The
first listed key in the WG602 is key 1.)
The additional config parameter, with the patch, was
"wep_auth_type=SHARED".
I'm out of ideas, or even directions to stab at in the dark. Help?
TIA,
Jim
