dhcpd on wlan0 in master mode

hi guys;

i am trying to implement a DHCP server on my access point which will allocate the mobile stations ip
address after association(i,.e the sta calls "dhclient wlan0").i have also added the necessary route
to 255.255.255.255 ("route add 255.255.255.255 dev wlan0").

however i see no response from the dhcp server going back to the sta.the server works fine with
eth0.also "dhclient wlan0" works fine with other access points(not hostap)

not sure if this is an issue with the dhcp server or hostap in master mode?though i feel its got to
do with hostap in master mode.

any comments would be helpfull.
