D-Link DWL-640 Air REVP/SuSE 2.4.21

Hi!,

I'm a newbie with very little experience in this. So, here I come to the
Gurus...

I'm using a D-Link DWL-650 Air RevP and SuSE 9.0 with 2.4.21-166. I've
downloaded hostap-driver-0.1.3.tar.gz over the weekend and tried to install 
the same.

The driver "make"s fine. But, when I say make install, I get messages like:

wlan0: hfa384x_cmd: command was not completed (res=0, entry=c6be58b0,

Could not get RID for component NIC

Can anyone enlighten me on what the potential problem here is and how I
can fix it (If I can)?

Actually, I tried installing the wlan-ng driver before this and I didn't 
even get this far.  iw* commands would not work there, but after hostap 
happened, the iw* commands were atleast showing me some results.
