Anyone using KWiFiManager ?

I am running SuSE 9.0 with a 2.6.4 kernel from kernel.org with hostap v0.2.0.
The pci card built into my IBM ThinkPad initialises as:

prism2_hw_init: initialized in 195 ms
wifi0: NIC: id=0x8013 v1.0.0
wifi0: PRI: id=0x15 v1.1.1
wifi0: STA: id=0x1f v1.8.0
wifi0: Intersil Prism2.5 PCI: mem=0xf8000000, irq=11
wifi0: registered netdevice wlan0

Everything works fine but if I try to run the KDE applet that shows signal strength
on the panel bar I get a whole slew of the following in the kernel message log:

Apr 2 17:14:25 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request 8B1B too small (0<12)
Apr 2 17:14:25 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request 8B0B too small (0<564)
Apr 2 17:14:25 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request 8B1B too small (0<12)
Apr 2 17:14:25 localhost kernel: wifi0 (WE) : Buffer for request 8B0B too small (0<564)

The applet seems to work OK, showing a variable signal strength and signal to noise
graph but the messages fill the log while it is running. Removing the applet fixes the
problem.

Is this a problem with the driver or the applet?
