i do use set up wlan cards via commands in init script
i do use encryption
i did kick all clients but it didnt help.
there are 2 linux box as clients on wlan0 and wlan0wds0
both use encryption .. client on wlan0wds0 probably use some cvs between
0.0.3 and 0.0.4 and this client is OK
second client on wlan0 use 0.0.4 and he is unable to associate.... i do not
see any events in syslog
im sorry but im not able to have look on that box now i will try to have a
look on syslog those syslogs later

all cards are Xi-626 1.1.1/1.7.4

its very odd problem
if i can help you more let me know how.

distance between clients: the one whitch do work w/o problem is 7 Km and
second, whitch makes problem is about 1 Km
