Hello,
after switching from a CVS version of hostap-0.0.3 to hostap-0.1.1 (and
now also 0.1.2) it seems that the behaviour of iwlist scan seems to have
changed dramatically making it effectively unusable:
In 0.0.3CVS it correctly showed the two AP we set up in a testbed:
| [root at dslappy hostap-0.0.3CVS]# iwlist wlan0 scan
| wlan0 Scan completed :
| Cell 01 - Address: 00:09:5B:34:FE:78
| ESSID:"MyMLAN"
| Mode:Master
| Frequency:2.432GHz
| Quality:0/92 Signal level:-94 dBm Noise level:-100

| Encryption key:on
| Bit Rate:1Mb/s
| Bit Rate:2Mb/s
| Bit Rate:5.5Mb/s
| Bit Rate:11Mb/s
| Cell 02 - Address: 00:09:5B:3B:B1:FA
| ESSID:"MyMLAN"
| Mode:Master

dBm
| Encryption key:on
| Bit Rate:1Mb/s
| Bit Rate:2Mb/s
| Bit Rate:5.5Mb/s
| Bit Rate:11Mb/s
in 0.1.1/0.1.2 now it shows a seemingly random AP from another net
(different ESSID) but none from the ESSID the card has been switched to:
| [root at dslappy hostap-driver-0.1.2]# iwlist wlan0 scan
