how to recompile

a 'make clean' should take care of the object files (and more) for you.

to rebuild everything do:
# make clean pci

this will clean it and then build it (again)

What i allways do after the drivers are already installed is to remove all
( object ) *.o files from 
/hostap-0.0.1/driver/modules
Then a 'make PCI'  will work again. 
If this is the right way, i'm not shure, but it works.
The make script checks for these *.o files.
