[802.1x]How to be authenticated?

Hi all,

It's OK when running "./hostapd wlan0".

But when running "./hostapd -xm wlan0",how can I get my supplicant connect 
to the lan? How can I make my desktop (using pci card:D-link DWL 520) get 
authenticated?

I followed steps of http://www.missl.cs.umd.edu/wireless/eaptls/ 
I must have missed something really obvious... :-(

When I ran the Xsupplicant,what should I input when it asked me for 
"private key"?

Further more,what to do when running "./hostapd -x -o<AP IP addr> -a<RADIUS 
server ip addr> -s<shared secret AP-auth.serv.> wlan0"?

Maybe it's small problem,but it really suffered me.
I need some light!
