DWL-520 and hostap

Dear friends.

I am from ecuador, i am trying to built a wireless communitty network in
my town. I am getting DWL-520 cards and Red hat 8 to built my AP, please
send me some information, about antenas speccialy, experiences with this
card, which version of host ap is better for me, etc.

Another question

If i want to group some nodes, what do i need, another wireless card in my
access point with a diirectional antenna???
