Scanning cycle

Hi all,

Could someone tell me how a scanning cycle is performed?

Is the first probe request always broadcast on the current channel and
then sequential to the next channels, e.g. if my STA is in channel 10,
will it probe channels 10,11,12,13,1,2,...

One channel is probed more than once, isn't it? Are all probes for a
channel broadcast one after the other or will the STA perform various
cycles and only send one Probe Request per channel?
