helo,
after a lot of struggle i have partly got my Zcomax Xl-325H card work as
an access point. apparent there has been some minor problems which i
could not understand and figure out. I am using the latest driver
hostap-0.0.1 under the kernel version 2.4.20 running on RedHat 7.3...
here's what i did to check if my card and the hostap pc based is working.
bash# ifconfig wlan0 192.168.41.1

with this, i wanted to test my hostap if it really is working.. so i set
up a client having an IP address of 192.168.41.2, yet it could 'ping' my
Ip address which is 192.168.41.1... but when i check the 'iwconfig' of
my client... here's the result
bash# iwconfig
wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"dmr"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.422GHz Access Point: 00:60:B3:76:9E:8A
Bit Rate:11Mb/s Tx-Power:-4 dBm Sensitivity=1/3

it has my mac address!! how come it cannot 'ping' the Master and the
Managed? when in fact my Managed has the address of the access point?
thank you very much for all the suggestions and solutions that i can have.
regards,
jarmie
