Hostap driver with sniffer programs

Hi All,

I am using a D-Link DWL-650 pcmcia card with the latest HostAP driver. 
It works great for connecting to known AP's but
I am having trouble getting a "sniffer" program to work with the card in 
"monitor mode".

Has anyone had sucess using such programs as AirSnort or Kismet with the 
driver?

If so, please share how you got it to work.

I know that having the latest libpcap library is essential, but am 
having trouble getting hold of it.
The web page is allways in-accessable. Anyone have a working version 
they can send me (source code)
