I'm using hostap-2002-10-12 with CVS prism2_srec on linux-2.4.20-rc1.
I've successfully loaded 1.5.6 firmware (r1010506.hex) onto
RAM by forcing it (-ri), so I modified /etc/pcmcia/wireless to call prism2_srec
just before perfoming iwconfig's.
After that wlan worked Ok like before, _but_ running hostap_diag still
showed v0.8.0 firmware, so I doubt if it actually did the work.
I've attached prism2_srec output.
Yesterday I did cold/warm reboot several times with success, today
I (rushly) booted but it didn't associate, so I undid the changes
and booted "normally" Ok, I'll test it further ASAP.
BTW ... Does it seem safe to use windoze intersil tool to toast
1.5.6 permanently on board ?
Regards ... and thanks for the GREAT work, Jouni !
