Hello,

i have a lucent wavelan silver pcmcia card. the hostap_cs driver
(hostap-2002-10-12) is running well in the ad-hoc mode (managed mode
seems to work) but i can't use the master mode, because i can't get
hostapd running.

iwconfig:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11-b ESSID:"test"
            Mode:Master Frequency:2.422GHz Access Point:
00:60:1D:F0:F5:A8
            Bit Rate:11Mb/s Tx-Power:-12 dBm Sensitivity=1/3
            Retry limit:4 RTS thr:off
	...

./hostapd wlan0:
ioctl(SIOCGIFINDEX): No such device
ioctl[SIOCGIFFLAGS]: No such device
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module wlan0ap	(syslog)

what does "ap" behind the wlan0 mean, i think the device is called wlan0
(modules.conf includes "alias wlan0 hostap_cs")?

thanks
martin
