What file is controlling hostap_cs module?

I don't understand.  I am trying to go back to using the prism2_cs module for 
a while so I can use kismet (I have failed to get kismet working with hostap 
inspite of trying several suggestions from users).  I moved my hostap_cs.conf 
file in my /etc/pcmcia dir to a new name to "kill" it.  I made sure that my 
remaining config files all bind "prism2_cs" to my card but no matter what I 
do, if I remove and reinsert the card, the hostap driver gets installed 
instead of prism2_cs.  What files are controlling this?  There was also an 
entry in my modules.conf:  alias wlan0 hostap_cs which I altered to alias 
prism2_cs.  Nothing happens and I still get hostap installing.
