Hmm - so I ended up with >get_iplayer --pid m001kxyz --tv-quality sd --subtitles --overwrite --tv-lower-bitrate and the file is 700KB But I don't understand the value 'web' for --tv-quality, and yet 'sd' is not commnsurate with modes=good CJB
