Nothing is guarantied in this context ;-(

GiP script may become incapacitated at any
time by the beeb's changes.

One other area of concern is removed/changed/deprecated
options, that I neglected to mention in my previous post.
Older versions of the script may look
for options that have been removed by
more recent versions - if they are still present inside
your options file, the more recent versions will nag you
about them and urge you to remove them, breaking
backwards compatibility with older versions if you do...
So moving back and forth in GiP versions
is not to be taken lightly...
