Failed Downloads

Hi
I am getting a lot of problems over the last week or so with failed
downloads and truncated output files, I am sure that it is to do with
my internet connection not get_iplayer, a typical output is below.

I intend to contact my internet provider but it is difficult to report
as if I do a speed test it appears fine and get typical results for
download and upload speeds compared to usual (only 1900k download and
500k upload), but it is obviously dropping out a lot as well causing
the errors, can anyone think of any tests that I can do that will give
me some evidence of a problem to point my ISP in the right direction?

As far as the truncated mp4 files, surly  RTMPDump provides an error
status that get_iplayer could pick up to stop it continuing and
creating the truncated  .mp4 file?
