 Tom replied privately next day (a mail I initially missed, for being away
from the PC with the e-mail account...):

 As you can see, he did not say if he received my original reply to the 
list;
if Mr Woodhouse or anyone else can help Tom with his query,
please do so by contacting him in private, as it is unclear if he gets mail
sent to the list...
