 Just to check, I downloaded the git-4cafe1c snapshot of the main
script, found at:

and renamed it to "get_iplayer-2.90-18-g4cafe1c.pl"
Once placed inside my GiP installation folder
(C:\Program Files\get_iplayer\), I ran:

perl 
get_iplayer-2.90-18-g4cafe1c.pl --type=radio --modes=flashaacstd --pid=b04ndf5b 
 --force --tag-podcast-radio

and the file DID BEGIN to download:

C:\Program Files\get_iplayer>perl

Commit 4cafe1c as well as every other commit after it
(4 at the time of posting) - including, of course, current
GIT HEAD - should do the job... There's not an obvious
reason why they shouldn't work in your case...
If on Windows, be sure to re-install using the latest installer,
so that the newer Strawberry Perl modules required by
recent (2.87+) script versions are also installed...
