Many, many people have no issue with the software and have downloaded
the programme in question with no issues.

It seems that, after tests, that you acknowledge that it may well be
that your broadband connection is not really suitable for the use of
get_iplayer. On that basis, can we assume that you will stop complaining
about the perceived shortcomings that you think exist, find a different
programme and stop moaning about it here?

Yes it does take a bit of fettling, but it's effective, quick and (in my
case, at least) rock solid.
