How to install get_iplayer on WinXP with perl already installed?

Ah well; by the time I read this I'd already embarked on the uninstall...

You'll be glad to know that the uninstall (of DWIMPerl & PADRE) then install
of Strawberry Perl 5.16.2.1 has gone well.  And the install of the pre-req
modules for get_iplayer, especially the one that failed yesterday, has also
worked.  Can you hear me - muted cheering from Scotland!

Sometime in the next day or two I'll do whatever's next on the manual
installatinon process, and then I'll actually get to start experimenting
with get_iplayer commands...

I can hardly wait, seeing as the BBC iplayer client failed with AIR problems
a week or two ago, and I was a heavy user of Radio Downloader.
