You may need to add -utf8 to your mplayer command line (or set utf8=yes
in config) to correctly display the UTF8 subtitles. You may also be
able to correctly display subtitles without this patch by adding -subcp
latin1 to your mplayer command line. If you're using mplayer2, I think
it will detect the encoding automatically.
