flashaacstd1 mode never works

I had the same problem which started at the beginning of Jan, i.e. ending up 
with an mp3 with a .aac extension, but I managed to fix it yesterday. I also 
ran into other problems by trying to uninstall and reinstall. Try deleting 
the .swfinfo file, whose location depends on what OS you're using. You may 
need to run get_iplayer --update to update to v2.79 (not sure if that's 
necessary). It worked for me (see the Windows reinstalation thread).
