Its a "feature" of GMail - if you send an email to yourself, you never
recieve it in your inbox as there is already a copy in your sent items
- no duplication. (makes it very annoying testing domain and user
aliases!)

I think it is the same here - it detects that the email it recieves
from the list is identical to the one you sent so it doesn't duplicate
it.
