rtmpdump will probably also "work" (albeit keep having to
resume the download, with a potential of this breaking each
time) if you adjust get_iplayer to not use the flag to enable
SWFVerification.

seems there may be a problem with the handshake. if you search
for the messages from the debug trace it would appear people
have been seeing this on some sites since sometime in the
first half of last year (some responses indicate it may be a
problem with unsupported flash 10 handshaking).

none of the fixes in rtmpdump svn have any effect (nor would
I expect them to from the commit logs).
