To provide more detail, the --url switch is only really for Embedded Media
Player (EMP) media such as can be enjoyed on the BBC Archive minisites. If
you ever see an eight-character string in any URL, that's a Programme ID and
can just about always be downloaded using --pid . However NB that there are
also eight character PIDs used to denote series or seasons of a programme
series, e.g. Holby City has the PID b006mhd6 [1] and the latest episodes
have the PIDs b00yk1gz and b00yb4k3 [2].
