Parted issue on G4 Powerbook

Hi there,
I've just fired up my G4 with the DVD iso for FC4. Once the X graphical
installer loads up and I get to the screen where I can choose to
automatically/manually partition the drive, I run into problems with the
message:
"The parition's data region doesn't occupy the entire partition."
If I persist and press ignore, I get another mesage:
"Attempt to read sectors 16-18 outside of partition on /dev/hda"
Persisting further (with manually parition) it shows up my free space as a
parition of type "Foreign".
Basically similar symptoms as those found in this bug report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/long_list.cgi?buglist=159047
A solution offered there seems to work only if you're doing an NFS install
by symlinking a file into the NFS source location. I was doing the
install straight from the DVD. Is there any way to install FC4 on a
PowerBook straight from the DVD at the moment?
I used the Disk Utility to reparition my machine and left the section I
was going to use for FC4 as unparitioned space, with the remainder set up
for Tiger (already installed).
Machine specs are:
PowerBook 12" G4
1.33GHz / 768MB RAM / 60GB HDD
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Euan.
