Well, looks like testing will take more time then i would like.
First problem is to create more or less reliable environment.

i do not have any 2x2:2 device to setup as client. I have two wrt160nl 
with AR9102 (draft-n) but i get bad results with it.
wrt160nl(ap)->ath9_htc(client) max speed 55Mbit with iperf
ath9_htc(ap)->wrt160nl(client) 5Mbit!!!

at same time i get:
SpeedPort W 723V(ap)->ath9_htc(client) max speed ~70Mbit
but i can't configure it as client.

One thing is sure. I have this problems with older firmware too.
