Hi all,

since the current discussion about the voting rules is not advancing, at
least not here in that list.I looked up the https://openwrt.org/rules
page for any changes and i am wondering why its calling openwrt the
former LEDE project. When i startet to use openwrt and follow its
development it was at version kamikaze. Back then there was no lede
project i did recognize. I remember there was a conflict with the lede
fork which was overcome later and it got merged again. The name openwrt
persistet. I think i saw this kind of wording before which is
missleading to me. OpenWRT is a project which changed through the
influence of the lede fork but its still OpenWRT?

Perhaps someone can lead me to the important bits (perhaps a link) of
why this wording could be correct, perhaps i just dont know some
important facts about LEDE and this is where my missunderstanding comes
from. To my understanding Lede was supposed to be the former OpenWRT
Project but it did not became it? I am confused and i am sorry if i put
salt in an old wound, since this is not what i want to do.

quote: " The only role distinction within the OpenWrt (former LEDE)
project is between committers and non-committers, there is no core
developer group or other specially privileged members."

Yes its probably not urgent.I am sorry if i just missed something, even
already years ago.

With good intent

Elias
