Thank you, I expected that.

I understood the following, not so much different...:

To Legally Import & Use the Device in Germany/EU, Add:

1. CE marking – Permanently on the device (not just on the packaging or power adapter). A sticker is fine!

2. Manufacturer & Importer details – Name & address on the device or packaging.

3. Model & version number – Clearly visible on the device. This refers to the hardware version and must correspond to the certification.

4. User manual – Must include safety information, manufacturer/importer details, and a CE Declaration of Conformity (or a QR code linking to it). And minimal instruction for first usage. This should be clarified with the case officer, as one told me a minimal instruction is necessary, while another suggested a link might be sufficient.

5. Compliance with EU regulations – (LVD, EMV, and RED standards are already met!)

I suggest sending pictures of all planned updates to the case officer who previously rejected my import permit application. I will ask if these changes are sufficient or if further simplifications are possible to reduce resources. He already has pictures of the current version and can compare our improvements.

In general I agree - the only issue could be the minimal instruction for first usage. My wife is Illustrator perhaps she can gift something. Or we find some cc graphics. Then we don't need different translations.

Should there be a dedicated webpage for the openwrt device line? This could make it easier to resemble a product as the authorities expect?

We still will order the devices when it's legal!

Elias
