OpenWrt and GitHub vs. Gitlab

FWIW, the freedesktop people have been using self-hosted Gitlab for a
long time and seem to have a lot of that documented [1][2], including
the source for the configuration.  I don't know any of the developers,
but if anyone does it might be good to ask them about how they did it.
