Hi,
In the last poll the majority decides for a re-merge. [0] To bring this
a little bit further I would like to see this announcement on the
openwrt.org front page which would inform users that the code repository
moved to the LEDE project. This is based on the topics, I think we all
agreed on, but if I did something wrong, or you think we decided somehow
differently please correct me. My intention is to get users, that are
not following the project very closely informed about the situation.

Subject: OpenWrt and LEDE project merge update and code repository move
The OpenWrt and the LEDE Project want to re-merge again. The official
successor of the OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05 release is the LEDE 17.01
release (link to https://lede-project.org/releases/17.01/start).
The OpenWrt subversion (svn) and the OpenWrt git repositories are
deprecated now and will not be maintained any more. All contributors
should switch to the code hosted by the LEDE project which is based on
the OpenWrt trunk source code with lots of additional improvements. To
contribute code to the LEDE project please follow the LEDE submitting
patches guide (link to https://lede-project.org/submitting-patches). The
OpenWrt package feed at github is also used by the LEDE project, no
change there.
To increase the likelihood of getting support on the mailing lists,
please add lede-dev at lists.infradead.org (LEDE development mailing list)
in addition, when writing to the OpenWrt mailing lists.
