I feel the definition of "bitmap_region" is counter intuitive.
How about the following ?
<column1 64bit> <column2 64bit> <column3 32bit>
selector_match selector_mask counter_map
Using above the comparison of RAW event is simplified as follows:
if ((event_data & selector_mask) == selector_match) {
...
}
In other words, "selector_mask" definition is the reverse of the
"bitmap_region" proposed by this patch.
